The Backlash Blueprint Webinar #3: Creating Jackson Pollocks, Scaling Digital Solutions

by Arch Collaborative | Jul 28, 2026 | Resist, Webinars

This webinar was the third in a series co-hosted by the Arch Collaborative and Equimundo. Building on our first and second sessions, which contextualized growing misogyny and anti-democratic attitudes, especially among young men, and outlined the weaponization of online spaces in a coordinated backlash against women’s rights, it focused on scaling digital and narrative solutions to stem the tide of grievance-based misogyny and promote healthy masculinities.

Our panelists embodied a “Jackson Pollock” strategy: approaching the growing problem from all sides with various, complementary perspectives. They discussed multi-faceted strategies, lessons learned, culture shapers, technologies, and new voices that must be employed in service of rights, equality, and democracy.

Panelists included:

  • Odanga Madung (Odipodev), Kenya-based journalist tracking the weaponization of online spaces, the spillover to violence, and links to tech platforms
  • Sarah Buckley (Trawalla Foundation), Australia-based social impact leader working on inclusive AI and closing the gender gap in politics and digital technology
  • Johnny Cole (Hey Brother Co.), U.S.-based leader in men’s emotional skills development and leadership training, creating alternatives to the manosphere through digital campaigns and in-person programming
  • Caroline Hayes (Equimundo), U.S.-based digital strategist and programmatic leader working toward online safety, healthy masculinities, and gender justice
